According to the manager of public relations of the Iran-Qatar Chamber of commerce; The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has ordered the immediate delivery of medical and pharmaceutical aid to Iran to prevent the coronavirus.
Earlier, in the early days of the coronavirus outbreak in Iran and around the world, the Emir of Qatar spoke by telephone to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani about the current situation.
the first shipment of Qatari health aids in the amount of more than five and a half tons of health and medical items arrived in Tehran immediately after the order of the Emir of Qatar.
.These items are to be distributed to the Ministry of Health and the Corona Operations Management
Following the news, Mostafa Salehi nezhad, The Public Relations Manager of Iran-Qatar Chamber of Commerce stated: Since the beginning of the Coronavirus crisis many flights to Qatar canceled and Iran-Qatar chamber of commerce began its consultations with Qatari economic officials.
He added: “In the past month, Adnan Mousapour, President of the Iran-Qatar Chamber of Commerce, and other board members have had many talks with Qatari economic and political officials, including the Qatari ambassador to Iran, to resolve the problems in the export and transit areas.
He expressed: we hope that due to effective action of the Qatari government, consultations will be held to resolve other problems as well.
Salehi nezhad added: Iran-Qatar Chamber of Commerce and some other chambers have lunched a campaing named: NAFAS which is preparing and purchasing the main medical equipment needed from abroad and transferring it to the country
